King Ayisoba, visits the Embassy

Mr. Albert Apoozore, known in the entertainment industry as King Ayisoba, paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Mrs. Charis Obetsebi-Lamptey Zwennes, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, on Friday, July 14, 2023. 

The legendary Ghanaian traditional musician has been praised for his innovative combination of traditional and modern music. His 45-day tour began in Holland on June 7, 2023, and will conclude with a two-day performance with his Kologo Band at the National Theater of the Republic of Korea.

Throughout the years, King Ayisoba has performed at some of the world’s largest festivals, such as the Rolskilde festival in Eastern Europe. Additionally, he is the sole traditional musician to have earned the top prize at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
